At Wheels Mfg, bicycles are a passion and we believe America can still produce things. We provide innovative and problem solving products to thousands of shops worldwide and distribute our products through a global network of distributors. We produce a majority of our products in our facility right here in Louisville, Colorado. Louisville is close to everything great about living in Colorado and one of the best small towns in the country to live in, year after year. Miles of open space buffer us from larger cities and give us lots of room to ride, push strollers, and walk the dogs. Located in Eastern Boulder county, our state of the art facility boasts dedicated parking for bikes indoors and plenty of room in the lot for your Subaru. An hour away is mountains to explore and hills to conquer.

We are dedicated to expansion of our line of problem-solving products and we won’t be deterred from producing those products in the USA. We feel manufacturing in the cycling industry is much more than waiting for containers of cheaply produced foreign parts to come through the door to be repurposed into quality products that won’t last a lifetime. Many of the products produced within these walls when we opened in 1988 are still out there in use, every single day.

Position: Account Manager I

Why join us?

We’re currently looking for an outstanding Account Manager I to join our sales team.  In this role, you will effectively sell product to a host of different types of accounts, from distributors, OEM, and larger IBDs. As your skills develop you have the opportunity to progress in your sales career within the organization.

What you will do:

As an Account Manager I at Wheels Mfg you will be assigned a customer group and come to know it inside and out.  Working directly with the Sales Manager and inside sales assistants, you will be the point of contact for those customers for all orders and technical questions.

  • Communicate with customer group about a full menu of products. Develop, nurture and sustain relationships with customers to maintain accounts.  
  • Communicate with your customer base new product information, updated pricing structures, and general product and company information.  
  • Track customer’s orders and sales trends.
  • Add new accounts on a continuous basis.
  • Make a positive contribution to Wheels Mfg culture and learn continuously.

What you need to succeed:


  • Understand the sales process and possess selling skills. Ability to quickly gain knowledge of Wheels Mfg product offerings.  High level of technical expertise required.
  • Excellent relationship building skills supplemented by self awareness and continuous self improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Bachelors degree in related field and 2 years of inside distributor or manufacturing sales experience preferred.
  • High level of organization and self motivation required.  Position requires independence and ability to handle customer requests without help from others.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills along with the ability to quickly learn and use other programs.

Other information:

  • The Account Manager I reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Independent travel required which includes airplane and driving a motor vehicle.  Travel 5-10% of time.
  • Must possess and maintain a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
