All Wheels Mfg bottom brackets come with dust seals. To provide additional sealing from contamination, or to quiet squeaky seals, add a little grease between the dust seal and the bearing. We recommend always using the dust seals for optimal sealing, but seals can be removed if you are experiencing spacing issues with crank spindles that are slightly shorter than normal. Below are the different seals provided for different cranksets. Photos show correct placement of seals over bearings.
Replacement seals can be purchased as part of our seal/spacer packs.
Non-Drive Side - 22mm ID. Side with lettering in the black silicone will face bearing. Always use this dust seal. It also acts as a spacer to allow the left crank arm to fit on the GXP spindle properly. |
Drive Side - 24mm ID. Black silicone side with lettering faces away from bearing. |
